During the June "Children’s Church" time, we learned about the Armor of God from Ephesians 6:10-18. We contrasted the types of armour used during time that the Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesians with today's technology. Our breastplates today are made from reinforced with materials such as Kevlar. We also learned about the meaning of the armor - the belt represents truth, the breastplate represents righteousness, the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit and the boots of readiness. We are to pray in the spirit with all kinds of prayers and requests for the people in the church.
To make the armor real we made all the pieces of armor out of a type of cardboard paper and dressed our youngest one in it, (See below). We have all kinds of discussions and questions during Children’s Church so that the children have the understanding of what the scriptures mean and how it applies to their lives.
